Hi! I'm Michaela

 

I am a Registered Dietitian and before I discovered Intuitive Eating, I never thought a "normal" relationship with food was possible for me. I thought I would always be stuck fighting cravings, binge eating, constantly thinking about food, and hating my body. Everywhere I turned for guidance, I was told this was my fault.

I just needed to be better, have more discipline, and self control.

I was trapped in this cycle for 10+ years and desperate for a way out. 

I knew I needed to make a change.

 

 I needed to shift my mindset around food and body image from scarcity to abundance

I needed to think of this work as a journey- because achieving “peace” meant unlearning many years of learned food rules and negative self-talk. Relearning how to trust my body not only gave myself permission to eat, but allowed me to find my compassionate voice.

➤ I needed to dig into my fear of weight gain, explore my beliefs about my body image and detach my worth from the way my body looked. I had to learn how to live a life in line with MY values (& not societies) especially when it came to body image.
